Rafael Laguna de la Vera
_Currently, Rafael Laguna is a consultant to AdAstra focusing
on software projects. Further, he is CEO of the OpenSource groupware specialist
Open-Xchange AG, Nuremberg and acts as board member for
several technology companies in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
_In his last corporate function, Mr. Laguna was Managing Director
Central Europe at PMSC which was later renamed as Mynd. Over
five years he grew the German Division from 120 to 280 employees
and the turnover from € 15m to € 30m. During this time he added
and integrated an additional product line (standard software for
insurances) mainly through acquisitions. In 2000, Mynd was acquired
by CSC Ploenzke.
_In the previous position, Mr. Laguna was general manager of micado
which makes software products for object-oriented development,
PC-host communication and sales support systems. Before selling
the company to PMSC, he grew the company from 20 to 100 employees
and to € 15m turnover.
_Mr. Laguna started his professional career in the early 1980s with
marketing of software products and the design and development of
PC-based POS terminals at self-founded or small companies.
_Mr. Laguna is 46 years old, married and has two children.
